IN CASE YOU DIDN'T HEAR, AN 89 YEAR OLD ASIAN AMERICAN WOMAN WAS SLAPPED AND SET ON FIRE IN NYC A FEW WEEKS AGO, COMPLETELY UNPROVOKED. THE TWO MEN WHO DID IT STILL HAVE NOT BEEN FOUND, AND IT'S NOT BEING INVESTIGATED AS A HATE CRIME.

THEY DIDN'T TRY TO ROB HER OR ANYTHING; THEY JUST WALKED UP TO HER, SET HER ON FIRE, AND LEFT. THIS WAS A HATE CRIME.

racism against asians is rampant, especially during this pandemic. in june, anti-chinese posters were displayed in a neighborhood near the crime scene. our president calls covid-19 the chinese virus & the kung flu, even though WHO officials warned against these stigmatizing names

DO NOT TURN A BLIND EYE TO THIS. fortunately, the woman was able to put out the fire and she survived the attack, but HER ATTACKERS MUST BE FOUND AND CHARGED. anti-asian hate crimes are on the rise, and this incident is part of a tragic pattern.
