Everyday, I am grateful for our massive win in the Midterms in 2018.

It didn’t happen by hope alone—it was work.
There was voter suppression.
The GOP cheated, lied, & fear mongered (the caravan).
We weren’t supposed to flip red districts—They were a longshot—but we did.

Doug Jones wasn’t supposed to win his special election, but he did. People showed up.
Impeachment was supposed to rip us apart—but we were already ripped. We’re still here.
The wheels of justice are still working—cases are being won. The courts are still upholding.

Our collective efforts have deterred some extremism.
Bitches who were anti-mask changed their tune.
The military put a check on tyrannical instincts.
MILLIONS are willing to flood the streets.

If we go off of what we see, it’s pretty easy to give up and despair.
The alternative is the scariest thing in the world to adversaries—resilience and an unwavering intention to uphold democracy.
If our votes didn’t matter, they wouldn’t be working so hard to stop us.

If you didn’t have hope, why’d you vote in the midterms?
If you didn’t have hope, would you care about November?
The fact that you do care about November is reason you shouldn’t take no for an answer when it comes to this democracy.

Onward. We have an election to win.
