Single sisters, there are some guys out there who will put on spiritual garb in their attempt to swoon you. I have seen men “play Christian” on the front end of a relationship, and then later—usually after a sprint to the altar—prove themselves to be faithless dogs. (1/5)
It’s good to give professions of faith enough time to show themselves true or false. Maybe let mature believers you trust to spend time around him and give you their honest input. Do they think he’s sincere? Or do they think he’s playing the “God card” to win you over? (2/5)
Some things to look for:

•Does his walk with God exist outside of his time with you? Does he read the Bible on his own?

•Does he have godly friends? Do they attest to the realness of his relationship with the Lord?

•Was he involved with a church before he met you? (3/5)
I hope this thread doesn’t come off as me mansplaining or as if I think ya’ll lack intelligence & discernment. Most of you are probably like, “Thx, random dude, for telling me what I already know and do!” But maybe there’s someone out there who will appreciate the heads up. (4/5)
Anyway, I was just thinking about this today and felt compelled to share. (5/5)
