A lot of people I& #39;ve talked to about the topic say that drawn cp is not wrong because it& #39;s fiction, but you guys realize most of us have been groomed within the fandom and probably didn& #39;t realize it because of how normalized it is right?
Not only that but some might even become the groomers themselves, and once again, they didn& #39;t even realize because how normalized it is and because it probably happened to them as well
Drawn depictions of CP might not physically hurt any children, but it normalized this behaviour, warps young minds into believing toxic relationships are the norm, and makes it easier for actual bad people to abuse of their power
I& #39;m speaking about all this after long talks with my therapist about it, and from my own experience and helping some friends to cope with their own traumas
I was lucky enough to have a brother figure back in the day who looked out for me and prevented anything serious to ever happen to me, but some other friends I had didn& #39;t had that kind of luck, and some of them can& #39;t break the abusive cycles the got in even to this day
This could have been prevented way before it happened, but Everytime I brought it up it was like talking to a wall, everyone just turns a blind eye because it would be too challenging to take an stance on the matter, to this day I still see it happening within the fandom.
I understand I can& #39;t force people to change their ways of thinking, but really the next time you think a piece of fiction is not harming anyone just take a moment to think on the long term impact it could have on someone& #39;s life....
And if after all that you still think there& #39;s absolutely nothing wrong with it, I really suggest you to stop following me because we might never agree and my content might not be for you entirely, better cut ties peacefully than engaging in pointless arguments.
