how I got over my weight loss plateau as an anorexic - a thread ✰
mentality - here’s what you need to hear rn. YOUR METABOLISM ISN’T FUCKED AND RESTRICTION ISN’T MAKING YOU “MAINTAIN.” most of you are under the age of 25, you’d need YEARS of low restricting to actually make some damage. It’s mainly the media trying to convince you you’re in -
“starvation mode” and you need to up your intake for a metabolism boost. This isn’t the way to go if you have an eating disorder. If you wanna boost metabolism you need to build muscle
diet- the reason you’re maintaining on a low cal diet is because you’re probably not sticking to it. Unless your BMI is 11 you WILL LOSE eating like 500 cals. The reason you can’t stick to it might be because it’s either too restrictive or you’re not weighing your food
What I did -
1. My bmi is 16 so most days I eat under 300 cals, never over 800 and I don’t really binge. I just eat proper foods. It is possible

2. Calisthenics (body weight exercises) building muscle will not only increase metabolism but it will get rid of the skinny fat look
3. WEIGH. YOUR. FOOD. It’s said on average people miscalculate their intake by 200-1000 calories. Weigh your food ffs

4. Mix body weight exercises and cardio to burn off fat. These are my fave body weight exercises and for cardio I mainly walk at least an hour a day
End of thread - I’m not a nutrition expert and I’m not responsible for who chooses to use these tips. I’m mainly just tired of myths that you gain weight by eating too little, because it’s not fucking true and it’s doing more harm than good. Love u baes ❀
