Since some of you have restarted going to church, let me give you phrases to use when homophobic/transphobic things are said.

"These are real people you're talking about, be nice."

“I’m sure you’d feel differently if the situation were reversed.”
“What if a trans member of the ward heard that comment, I think they’d question if they’re welcome here.”

“I have a friend who is lesbian and I really like her, she doesn’t sound like your comment at all.”
“Our Heavenly Parents love their LGBT children. We should love and support them.”

“I can’t imagine Jesus saying something like that after teaching us to Love One Another.”
If someone asks, “what are some examples of evil made to look good?” I have a friend who answers “homophobia.”

And then it’s fun to watch all the people struggle who want to say gay marriage (because Mormons seem to only have that one answer to this question)
