Talking about/being proud of periods, maternity etc. is okay. Trans women need visibility too but a lot of womens oppression has to do with female anatomy and I don’t think you should tell women to not mention things that has already been stigmatized since the beginning-
I have seen a lot of toxic tweets lately on here talking about how you shouldn’t associate periods etc. with women. And although not all women have these struggles (even cis women) it’s still the majority and I think its really harmful to tell women that -
They can’t mention stuff like this when talking about feminism and such. A lot of my bad experiences with womanhood are tied to growing up with these difficulties and to see people calling women TERFS for simply talking about it makes me really sad -
And before anyone jumps to any conclusions - I am NOT talking about JK Rowling. I’m talking about a tendency I’ve noticed on social media lately
Let me also add that all you trans women and men are amazing and you need and derserve visibility and support too when talking about feminism and other things❤️
