Ahh ok I am going to be brave and tweet about something but I request patience and non-attacking and an open mind. You all know I'm nice so please bear with me and know this isn't a subtweet/attack / anything of the sort.

Disk Horse:A thread?
I actually adore discourse. It keeps the fandom thriving and analysing and appreciating Furudate's work of art and pride is something we all enjoy doing and I LOVE THAT
I personally don't mind repetition of topics because no matter how many times you discuss a topic you could never peel all the amazing layers of the onions of themes that are displayed in Haikyuu. So don't feel bad for repeating a topic because it's never done.
However, I do feel as a fandom we get a little defensive/ are less open to new view points.Partivularly if they are contradicting. This is genuinely not directed at anyone this is an overall thing.
A topic can be discussed in many viewpoints and it's good to take in all viewpoints. It's also good to be open to NEW discourse topics. You don't need to drop the old for that. I make new friends but I'm still friends with my old friends?
I just feel like everytime I see someone bring up an alternate point they get slaughtered or people rfuse to engage and that's not how it should be? It's understandable if the view point is slander of a character but often it's simply a new view.
With new topics it's even worse, they are ignored. And new view points are attacked mercilessly. That's not how it should be truly. So here are somethings I hope we can do.
1. No hate. Please it's so childish.
2. Anon hate is even more childish.Don't.
3. Don't just like a thread you think is interesting and new, RT it. A like is a 'yeah alright.' An RT is 'Look at this new topic guys.'
4. Repetition of topics- actually fine.
5. Refusal to engage with an alternate view that's not slander/ getting overly defensive of said view point that's not slander- not really fine and limiting
6. Be polite when offering your point against someone's point.
7. Give people time and space to explain their point
8. Most controversial: If you see a new unexplored concept/new viewpoint and you have a good following and you think it's interesting- RT please.
This is going to sound like I'm pinning the blame on big accounts I'm not they aren't obligated to do anything.
BUT big accounts, whether they like it or not, have a following that gives them a bigger leverage when it comes to engagement and discourse. Obviously? So if you are a bigger account and you liked something different, RT it and give it some validation. Just a suggestion
I do this too. Entirely voluntarily and it takes a fraction of a second. Not saying big accounts are bad and I'm not saying they are obliged and I'm not saying they don't do this. But discourse seems closed sometimes and defensive other times and I'd like it if it was more open
NOT A SUBTWEET, NOT A SLANDER, NOT AN ATTACK . More a request and frankly if you already did this, you would just thumbs up and go ? This thread isn't for you then?
I think the main take away is to not be afraid to say new things and concepts. Engage with new views and concepts. RT concepts and views that you like. Don't hate on ones that you don't agree with , respectfully engage in discourse using polite sentences like a civil person.
Do not drag someone's personal life or send Anon hate that's fucked up and immature and you know it. Don't make fun of something they can't help like their mental abilities/linguistic abilities because that's also fucked up and childish . Seriously. Fuck you.
I love this fandom and discourse keeps me alive but I think it can sometimes be closed off or irritated in tone and sometimes disrespectful. Tysm for being patient and listening.Hope I haven't offended anyone I love you all so much!
