Thread In this thread I will look at how the premium assets peformed this year and I will take a look at how to approach them for next season. Retweets appriciated
Before I start I quickly want to say that I am nearly on 900 followers. If you like the thread make sure to follow me for more threads.
Let's first start with looking at who are premium assets. A premium asset is a player who is more expensive then the most players in his position. For example TAA, Robbo and Doherty were premium defenders. Son, KDB and Pepe were premium mids and Vardy and Auba were premium FWD's
For this thread I used the stats from @FantasyFootyFix. I will look at how the premium assets peformed this season. I excluded GK's from this list. Different thread about them coming up.

TAA had an amazing season this year. He outscored nearly every forward this year. Robertson also had a pretty good FPL season. He was of course not better then TAA but still didn't do a bad job.

TAA 8.0 I think Trent will 8.0. He has outscored players who have been way more expensive then him and I think only a rise is logical. I think Robbo will be 7.0. Yes he had only 1 assist less but he still returned 29 points less then TAA who was also priced at 7.0

VVD (6.5) and Azpilicueta (6.0)
Just like the other Liverpool defenders VVD had a great season. He played every minute in the league. Azpi also had a decent season. He played more as attacking RB this season.

I think they will both stay as they started this season. VVD hasn't had a rise worthy season and Azpi hasn't had that too. Azpi can be great if the Chelsea defence gets better

Doherty (6.0) and Digne (6.0)
Doherty didn't start the season great. He didn't get a attacking return in his first 5 GW's but started to get better at the end of the season. Digne started the season pretty good but Everton didn't live up to the expectations and ended 11th.

I think Digne will drop down to 5.5 and Doherty will rise to 6.5. Doherty ended the season really well and showed why he is worth that price tag. Digne didn't live up to the expectations and his FPL price tag. He will probably drop in price.

KDB (9.5) vs Bruno (8.0)
How wrong FPL was with pricing both these players. KDB had an amazing season. Equalling Henry's assist record. Bruno made a big impact getting Man Utd into the Champions League

I expected them both to get a huge price rise. I think Bruno will be 11 and KDB 12.5. For me KDB is a better asset then Bruno stats wise. Bruno shoots more and KDB is more playing on getting assists.

Pepe vs Son (both 9.5 mil)
Son had as usual a pretty good season. He is never the highest scoring player but always pretty consistent. Pepe is different he sometimes played really good but then blanked for 3 matches in a row.

I think Son will either stay at 9.5 he didn't have a bad season but not a great season too. Pepe will be in for a big drop. I can see him dropping to 7.5 or even 7.0.

The City wingers had both a pretty decent season. Mahrez stayed more consistent when he started but Sterling was more explosive. We all probably expected more of him after his promising start this season

How many premium assets are enough? You have a budget of 100 mil. If you for example want TAA, KDB, Salah and Bruno in your team that would cost 43 mil with my predicted price you would have 57 mil left for 11 players. If you chose 1 4.0 goalie and 1 4.0 defender.
You would have 49 mil left for 9 players. So 5.5 per player on avarage. I would say that 4 premium assets are the max. You would destroy your team if you want 5. You should have at least 3 premium assets as they return far more points.
