I think a few of you need to hear this. No one on a corporate level is going to let go of someone for talking in a way you didn& #39;t like about your group or person.
I was sent complaints from other fandoms, my own fandom. Sending "she talked about ships" or "this person is using xyz for clout", they do NOT CARE. That is not a fireable offense or unprofessional in their book. I never got scolded or written up cause I said BTS paved the way.
maybe the younger set of our fandom doesn& #39;t get that but if you are a working adult you should. What is more concerning to HR? "They are talking about shipping!" or "This person said a xyz-phobic" thing on social media. Which one do you think they laugh at? Just guess.
I remember a person sent something in about me cause it was "too sexy" to say on the station twitter. Same person who sent it was a HARD R fic writer. The irony was too much and yes ALL of us laughed at it.
You know a big reason they didn& #39;t care? Engagement. I was top 5 in the company for that (and it wasn& #39;t fake either, hello BTS listening parties!) and that equals money. Advertisers look at engagement.
So please listen to people when they tell you don& #39;t engage. I know some situations like yesterday was an exception and I get it...well sometimes you can& #39;t help but comment lol but for 95% of the rest, you don& #39;t have to do so. They will feel it, I promise you.
Then when they get an email of "why did you go from 105% engagement/webhits last month to 58% this month?" That& #39;s when they& #39;ll go "oh crap". That& #39;s your "don& #39;t mess with ARMY" moment they will remember.
And not just ARMY, ANY fandom. Just letting you know.
