Got to the Barber's this evening and said "bro, this is my last haircut as a single man, kill it man".

And then three older men waiting their turn got into this very hearty conversation with me and I couldn't have wished for anything better than the crash course marriage counsel
One man said "No matter how heated it gets, never use her insecurities against her, that's not a card, it's not a weapon, it's for you to protect. That's just playing unfair, it's like bringing a gun to a knife fight, only you are killing the only person on your team."

I nodded.
The second man said "this is not a "my own marriage is better than your own" contest, leave the crowd alone, this is a journey for two people, drown the noise, don't make the boat heavier by doing things to please a crowd, it will always be for the both of you, keep it that way"
The third man talked to me about his strategies for fidelity, and you are most likely pleasantly shocked, he dropped me off at home and invited me to church tomorrow, says he'd pick me up in the morning.

And they all argued for who was going to pay for my hair cut. It was warm
Nothing tops this, to see three random stranger walk me into the biggest decision of my life and do it with such care.

Now you see why I said I need older friends, they've asked me about the planning, walked through with me. One guy wants to send me a perfume, I was so clueless.
I wish this on everyone. And I can't believe this really, the warmth, the love, it's so intoxicating, it was like they became children again, just sharing their experiences and laughing loud at all they've learned.

Very inebriating conversation and I want everyone to have one.
I feel like I can't wait for everywhere to open so that I can send random script ideas to @HairlinersNg and we can have these stories of wholesome masculinity from the Barber's shop.

Everyone should experience a safe space for wise counsel that builds homes, eventually society.
