Hi @andrewwille. I’d encourage you to spend on building your audience. A simple website that encourages newsletter sign up, a regular newsletter, 1 or 2 social media channels done well. Costs attached to web dev, hosting, email management & any content creation ....contd https://twitter.com/andrewwille/status/1289610232553811969
A lot of this can be done for relatively small amounts of ££ depending on your skills - Squarespace, wordpress, wix for web, mailerlite, Mailchimp or evening substack for newsletter management and Canva, BookBrush for artwork.
My personal view is your publisher will concentrate their efforts on selling your book on and around publication, you can be building your platform for the rest of the year (however long), in theory each launch should be easier/better/more effective as you’ve established
An authentic relationship with your readers that your publisher simply can’t replicate, especially year-round. (Too many authors, different genres, different audiences).
