Indy blue thinks she is the smartest person alive while being so amazingly, almost impressively, willingly ignorant
Indy Blue: protesting and opening businesses/going to restaurants/hanging out with friends are the SAME?!?

I mean yeah she& #39;s right, there is risk to protesting. COVID doesn& #39;t care about why you& #39;re putting yourself at risk. But she is SO confused as to how protesting is different
Idk maybe protesting is different because to protest you can keep your mask on at all times?? And try not to be in people& #39;s space??? Whereas with going to restaurants and bars you literally have to expose your mouth and nose to eat?? And spread your germs on dishes and trash???
Maybe the miracle is MASKS??? Maybe people are trying not to go to funerals because there& #39;s still a risk even with masks, as much as they reduce the spread??? Maybe people are at risk and can& #39;t take that risk without rising themselves or others? Maybe hospitals are FULL of risk??
She LOVES to fearmonger in the name of asking questions.

My brain hurts, too, indy. (Because of you, in case you didn& #39;t get that.)
Some group gatherings are *more ok than others* because some don& #39;t require you to expose your mouth and respiratory droplets to the people around you.

There& #39;s still a risk because masks and mask-wearing isn& #39;t PERFECT. But if everyone does it, IT WILL reduce the spread.
She ends by FINALLY addressing masks more specifically and I can& #39;t screen-record so I& #39;ll summarize: she says that in the beginning, we were told masks weren& #39;t enough and were told not to buy them and people were made fun of for wearing them.
What she& #39;s purposefully choosing to ignore is that in the beginning, COVID-19 WASN& #39;T HERE AND PEOPLE WERE PANICKING AND BUYING UP ALL THE STOCK OF LIFE-SAVING AND NECESSARY EQUIPMENT (everything ranging from TP to SURGICAL masks) WHEN AT-RISK PEOPLE AND HOSPITALS NEEDED THEM
There was also a question of cloth masks and how people (her included) jumped to start selling them. Now, I& #39;m not saying selling masks is bad! Honestly I think it& #39;s great. But capitalism IS bad and ALWAYS hurts poor people.
Maybe if our government had, from the START, prepared us all by providing free masks to every person in America, and maybe if people selling masks didn& #39;t sell at ridiculous prices, there would be no criticism of how we responded to masks. Idk just my thought
She says people made fun of other people for wearing masks in the beginning.

I don& #39;t really remember that but idk, maybe if America& #39;s culture as a whole was to protect other people and to not politicize masks or a pandemic, we& #39;d be in a better situation.
Not everyone is wearing masks, Indy. That& #39;s why all these different gatherings you& #39;re bringing up are not the same.
But ultimately it& #39;s the government& #39;s fault. They didn& #39;t prepare for this. They gave people ONE relief check of $1200. People& #39;s lives are run by money, whether they want it to be or not. People are forced to choose between going to work so they can buy food and pay rent—BASIC
NECESSITIES—and staying safe. The government chose and is consistently choosing to value a crumbling economy over keeping people safe and providing them the necessary resources to stay safe.
Anyway, indy blue cannot even imagine these nuances because according to everything I& #39;ve seen of her, all she cares about are her false equivalences and fear-mongering conspiracies.
Also she& #39;s a rich white woman with hundreds of thousands of followers. And she still refuses to think critically about the questions SHE is posing and the answers her followers are trying to give her.
