So how was trading this week?

This week’s trading session was abridged, due to the holidays declared on Thursday and Friday by the Federal Government to mark the Eid-El-Kabir celebrations
The @nsenigeria All-Share Index gained 1.09%. Year to date, it is down8%

The index measures the average price movement on the stock exchange.

Unity Bank was the best performing stock this week. The stock gained 17.3% to close at N0.61.
Smart Products was the worst-performing stock this week. The stock declined by 31% to close at N0.29.

The sharp fall can be partly attributed to the stock being marked down by N0.10. A markdown is when a dividend is subtracted from a stock& #39;s share price.
Moving on to earnings.

Several firms released their results this week. It would have been impossible to cover all and have this thread ready in good time.

So I focused on key firms, either by market cap or sectoral importance.
Presco released its results for the half-year ended June 2020. The numbers show a bumper rise in earnings in Q2.

Revenue grew by 29.3% from N10.4 billion in 2019 to N13.4 billion in 2020.
