Alright I& #39;m doing it. Time to make the toxic Hisu stans mad. A thread on why some of their ideas about Hisu are badly BADLY written fanfiction
I& #39;m only doing this once.
Before I get to my counterarguments let& #39;s go through what seems to be a largely accepted theory on Hisu and Eren. EH theories I& #39;ve been reading stem around one central idea and that is that Krueger& #39;s words (have a family, love someone in ch 98) were intended toward Eren and not
his father Grisha as the scene suggests. So pretend we& #39;re EH& #39;s and from this scene we infer that Krueger meant these words toward Eren. Combine that with Historia being pregnant and the final panel of a figure holding the baby and boom Eren baby daddy.
Prior to chapter 98 when we had Grisha& #39;s backstory there were several parallels between Dina (Zeke& #39;s mother) and Historia (even I agree with this) so then it was concluded this was to show that Historia is to Eren as Dina is to Grisha. A reason to go on and keep fighting.
So now we jump to the latest chapter. Those memory shards were really weirdly out of order and they do suggest that Eren is the father. Mainly because they& #39;re put together to suggest the idea that the reason Eren ignored Zeke about Mikasa& #39;s feelings was because he betrayed them
and had a child with Historia. So in other words EH& #39;s believe Eren ignored his words because he loves Historia and doesn& #39;t feel the same about Mikasa
Lastly. During ch 98, Krueger mentioned the idea of love being needed to break the chain of hatred. So combine all these ideas and you come to a conclusion that Eren is in love with Historia and impregnated her to break the chain of hatred as ch 98 suggests and the fulfill the +
final panel. They& #39;re using Krueger& #39;s words to form a theory on how through love Eren will break the chain of hatred and their child will be born free in a new world.
Oh I forgot one part. Since Eren seems suicidal, they also theorize that Hisu& #39;s baby serves as some kind of insurance to make Eren want to return from war. In essence, his actions as of late have been in defense of his family.
As you can imagine I have many MANY issues with this.
Issue/Counterargument 1 can be summed up as its Yams. Lol. Basically what I mean is that Eren loving Historia is about as cliché shonen as you can get. To my knowledge Yams has never done this. He has used shonen tropes but he has always flipped them on their heads. +
Two good examples are ch121 where Eren revealed he influenced Grisha and Eren himself. In ch121, Yams used the idea of time travel (memory travel whatever) to influence an event. This is used in shonen constantly however he deviated from this because shonen typically uses this +
to prevent bad from happening however Eren did it to make sure something happened. Eren himself is also an example as Eren never wanted to be a hero in fact it was pushed on him. Comparing him to characters like Shinra from Fire Force (where he wants to be a hero) show this. +
Issue/Counter 2 I& #39;d say they& #39;re blatantly misinterpreting Krueger& #39;s words. He mentioned Armin/Mikasa in that ch & they weren& #39;t born yet. This suggests that Krueger was not talking to Eren but actually the opposite. Eren was using Krueger to talk to Grisha (ch 121 backs this up).+
Issue/Counter 3 let& #39;s say for the sake of argument that we buy into the idea that Eren is the father and ch 130 supports this. The problem is nobody in the entire fandom think that the rumbling is an act of love. Supporters and antis all agree that the rumbling is evil +
(necessary or not depends on views) but no one sees it as an act that Eren is doing to break the cycle of hatred via love. That doesn& #39;t fit whatsoever. Ch 125 -129 support this as everyone has come together because it& #39;s such a harsh and extreme measure +
Issue/Counter 4 the rumbling succeeding (as depicted in EH theories) fights the entire manga. I. Ch 98, Krueger mentioned Armin and Mikasa. So its absolutely unreasonable to think that Eren put Historia above them. So in order for their theory to work, Eren would forsake them & +
possibly murder them to finish his goals. Yams could pull something similar for a tragic ending but theres zero to suggest he& #39;d do this to have Eren live happily for Hisu. Ch 108 (where Eren says everyone is precious to him) backs this up +
There& #39;s more but long story short is all their claims are backed up by a romanticization of Eren& #39;s actions and misinterpretions. I could be wrong but I think there& #39;s plenty of evidence to say otherwise +
So this in my mind is a strong challenge to their EH ending. But I have to add this doesn& #39;t necessarily rule out Eren being the father. I can see one scenario where it& #39;d be true and that would be if Eren had to. Basically he saw that Hisu& #39;s child was important and as such made +
it happen. However, if such a thing occurred, Yams would likely make it blatantly clear that Eren doesn& #39;t love Historia and wanted Mikasa instead. This would fall under the category of "betray the reader." because its something shonen protags don& #39;t do. They don& #39;t use others like+
that. So ch 130, was to make you think Eren feels for Hisu but in reality he& #39;ll pull the rug out and double down on eremika. This is entirely possible. But I think its unlikely for a multitude of reasons +
Counter 1 as stated above, I think its more than fair to say the romanticization of Eren& #39;s actions paints the wrong idea for ch 130. If we get rid of that, Eren& #39;s words to Zeke could take on a whole different meaning. He ignored Zeke& #39;s words about Mikasa& #39;s feelings +
. A plausible explanation would be that he did it because he feels that it would cause her more harm than good to try to love since 1.) He& #39;s going kamikaze with the genocide so likely feels he doesn& #39;t deserve it 2.) Regardless he will die in 4 years so with those in mind, the +
idea of him impregnating Historia contradicts that pessimistic view he has of his future. He& #39;d be making Historia raise a child on her own knowing he wouldn& #39;t be there +
Counter 2 Eren was always against Historia doing things against her will. Take away the romanticization and Eren would be going against that by forcing her into pregnancy. Which contradicts how Eren has been since the beginning. Eren likely told Historia about his plans for one+
of two reasons: he did it because he needed Zeke (so Historia wouldn& #39;t be forced) or two because he saw Historia as a threat. She has the power & could& #39;ve launched a counter attack against Eren and the rumbling. She was a threat so he had to make sure she wouldn& #39;t go against him.
All that said, truthfully none of this takes away from Historia& #39;s importance. She may be a side character but I& #39;d say she& #39;s important because through Historia, Eldia has a future (her kids etc). Mikasa on the other hand is vital to stopping the rumbling. They& #39;re both important +
but in large vastly different ways. Mikasa& #39;s role is with Eren. Historia& #39;s is with the future of Eldia. Even during the uprising arc, Historia was vital to the plot but she didn& #39;t do much until the end. Mikasa was there in the thick of it. So saying Historia is more +
important that Mikasa isn& #39;t true. They& #39;re both there to serve a specific purpose. I could always be wrong but either way I have a hard time believing Eren feels for Historia, anything other than a friend. Lmao

Anyways stan Mikasa. Stan Historia. But not against the other. Stop that garbage.
As @HollyWeed0 pointed out I said ch 98. This is incorrect it should be ch 89. My bad. Lmao
