We can’t allow transphobia to become a factional issue by placing the blame with one wing/faction of the party

Every faction in the party has issues with transphobia to some extent, whether through ignorance or ambivalence and we’ve seen in the past the only way we can
Even begin to address this is to challenge it collectively

If your friend says something transphobic and you feel safe to call it out, do it. Same with your Branch, CLP, LCF or Young Labour group

We can’t allow harmful narratives to become normalised, it only allows transphobia
To flourish and creates a culture that will let it go unchecked

To effectively stamp it out, it needs to be done early and as soon as it rears it’s head. That responsibility also lies with the leadership when elected representatives engage with harmful groups or tweet when they
Probably shouldn’t (👀👀)

We need to see swift and effective action and education on if we’re to create a party with a safe atmosphere for trans members and no tolerance for transphobia
