Jung believes humanity’s common religious motifs (dying & rising hero-savior, cosmic restoration, etc.) arose as archetypes as the psyche first began to develop consciousness and self-reflect accordingly.

Christians often condemn this and jump right into comp relig apologetics.
But isn’t Jung’s analysis precisely what Christians should expect? The Word that became incarnate unto the fulfillment of these nearly universal motifs is the Word that upholds the cosmos and has been revealed to the human mind from the beginning.
“And hence, there seem to be seeds of truth among all men, but they are charged with not accurately understanding [the truth] when they assert contradictories.” - Justin Martyr

These seeds of truth are the imperfect replications of the ultimate truth revealed in Christ.
Ex: When it’s suggested that the Christian story is a replication of the Osiris myth (as Jung himself insists), I’d respond by affirming the similarities, but reversing the trajectory. Osiris is a pale image of the Christian story woven throughout eternity and manifested in time.
