I’m speechless. Heartbroken. Furious. Worried. Exhausted.

If you are a parent or know a parent, please reach out to your kids’ teachers. We are not okay. We are juggling a million different plans/ideas/procedures.

We are worried about our coworkers, our students, their families, and ourselves. We are worried about the extreme division in our country.

I return to my building on Tuesday. I am preparing myself to be exhausted and burned out this year...

but I’m also preparing to present my best self to my new students. I’m trying to focus on how excited I am to see them and work with my awesome teams again! Please help me (and others) stay in this positive place.

Teachers are NOT the problem and we will work harder for kids this year than ever before.
