As it's nearly time for the Edinburgh Festival I thought I'd do a thread with some recommendations for anyone heading to the Fringe this year.

(Thread)
1. Pandemic - The Musical, The Oxford Chimproverts, Pleasance Closet, 8.15pm.

The ever reliable student improv group return this year with a semi-improvised, topical operetta based on the COVID-19 pandemic. Sponsored by the Bank of Mum and Dad, listen out for them on Radio 4.
2. Kancel Kulture Komeback, Brandon McShouty, Pleasance Cupboard, 11pm

The awaited return of the motormouth, edgemeister, who's been off our screens for a couple of months due to "those" allegations. Prepare to strap in as he "tells it like it is". Not for the faint hearted.
3. The A-Gender, Polly Crabtree, Pleasance Shed, 11am

Fringe debut by the former child actress hoping to be the breakout star of 2020, laugh as she addresses the topics de jour of identity politics, transphobia and men leaving the toilet seat up. Directed by her famous father.
4. Please Give Me a TV Show, Arthur Pissflaps, 9pm

The four time Perrier runner up returns with his first show since splitting with his former double act partner, Bernie Burns. Expect plenty of hilarious anecdotes about his short lived sitcom, "Flaps". Rated 15+
5. Latenight Lockdown, Pleasance Shoebox 1am

Expect the unexpected at everyone's favourite, socially distanced late show. Watch as drunk acts attempt to tame the even drunker audience, see if they can deal with witty heckles such as "Fuck off" and "You're as funny as COVID!"
6. Noisy Library, sets off from Pleasance Square every hour.

Become part of the entertainment yourself as Guru Fucknut gives you a classic book to read through a megaphone whilst you slowly, snake your way, along with 50 others, through all the most crowded parts of Edinburgh.
7. Love in the Time of Corona, Lucy Koenig, Pleasance Lean-to, 7pm

The gauche American arriviste brings her hit off (Fulham) Broadway show to the Fringe. Detailing her tempestuous love life in all its gory, gynaecological detail, expect to be amused and shocked in equal measure.
8. Benny from the Block, Pleasance Pagoda, 4pm

New show from rising star, Benedict Sackville-Coutts-Battenburgh as he finds humour in his working class roots growing up on an estate in Berkshire. Selected for this years Royal Variety Performance, see him before his 2021 UK tour.
9. NO! I'M THE ONLY RIGHT WING COMEDIAN ON THE CIRCUIT! , Pleasance Toilet, 8pm

There can only be one! The exciting new gameshow where 527 contrarian comedians battle it out to have the right to claim they are "the only right wing comedian on the circuit". Not for libtards.
