He was fighting The Confederacy but 'The Confederacy' was just a euphemism for 'white supremacy'.

Then came segregation & again, white supremacy lost.

Now we have 'Trumpism', &

it's the same old thing, but we also have the Coronavirus, & it seems our enemies have literally chosen it. In essentially the same places where The Confederacy thrived, the people have chosen to place white supremacy over what's best for the country."
