Freedom from pain and suffering is Swasthya or health.

Patanjali Yoga Sutra has explained five different kinds of kleshas. Pancha kleshas.

Avidya, Asmita, Raga, Dwesha and Abhinivesa
Kleshas are mental afflictions that blocks the free flow of consciousness in our different koshas causing pain and suffering.

They are like dense clouds that block the sun light of true knowledge of Atman within us.
Avidya -Ignorance of the true nature of Self and Reality. To know that we are obscured by different errors of perception or limited by sensory modalities is the first step towards vidya.
Asmita is the erroneous identification of self with objects of perception. The story that we tell ourselves about our own lives and making it our identity is one of the examples of Asmita. Can we separate our stories from who we are?
Raga is excessive attachment to the sensory world of objects that causes pain and suffering eventually.

Dwesha is avoidance of pain which is the other side of attachment.

They call it the pleasure- pain axis that is often the cause of all addictions.
Abhinivesah is the fifth klesha.

It is fear of death and clinging to life. This is an interesting klesha! Every being with life has an instinct towards preserving one's life.
But this klesha is different from the life preserving instinct. Denial of the cyclical nature of janma-punar Janma and the reality of physical death is a malady that suppresses the flow and exchange of life in a natural way.
Fear of aging is another syndrome we see today in men and women who want to look young despite their gravity ridden bodies 😁
Pancha kleshas causes both physical and mental disturbances.
Kleshas need not be treated through a chemically induced medication or through a bio physical modality of treatment . They can be managed through vimarsha ( self reflection), through other cleansing or Bhuta shuddikaran kriyas.
Our healing system is called Bhuta vidya.

In our Darshana,we do not separate mind and body. Bhuta vidya encompasses pancha bhootha, pancha koshas and all other tatwas and their balance.
Our bodies are sthoola and there are sookshma shareeras that need different kinds of nourishment.

Are we giving proper nourishment to all dimensions of our being?

Such pushtikaran of all aspects of our being is vital for Swastya and Shreyas.
