Watching Black Is King right now.
BIGGER.

Because she’s on the shore, it feels like she’s referencing slavery.

Even though our ancestors came on ships, I’m certain they had their babies with them too (if they were ‘lucky’ to survive).
Additionally, it appears that she’s showcasing a water ritual with babies.

What country/people? Not sure.
“A journey is a gift. Something to offer at the door to the rooms of your mind. This is how we journey far and can still always find something like home.”
The shore imagery and those words seem to me like she’s referencing slavery. Correct me if I’m wrong.
FIND YOUR WAY BACK.

This intro Earth scene is Beyoncé saying that we’re otherworldly.
I like this song! 😀
Okay, so I kept forgetting to come back to this thread.
MOOD 4 EVA.

I’m trying to understand the video and the reason for the song being included.

It’s literally them just throwing their wealth in our faces. That was my first impression.

Idk why, but the line “stay in your struggle” bothers me, especially with all this imagery.
What is the video and song truly saying?

What I understand from it is that life is good for her and Jay, and that she’ll always have nights she doesn’t remember filled with money and parties.
If you think I’m simplifying it, don’t be afraid to converse with me about it.
I skipped over Don’t Jealous Me, because I just didn’t understand the song or visual.
JA ARE E

My favorite song from the album!

While watching the video, my first thought is that she’s placing Simba (grown up) into the current time period.

He’s going out and finna have a good time.
