


Today is Emancipation Day in Jamaica, the day African slaves in British colonies received freedom from slavery.
So, here's yet another thread of vintage photos of Jamaica, this one highlights Jamaican joy!

Jamaica shares Emancipation Day with many other Caribbean nations which were former British colonies #OneLove to us all 




Emancipation is different to independence (independence Day) this is about the freedom of African slaves...there's still much work to be done in the present day, but this is to celebrate our ancestors, our History!
