The fascination with the now-retired "Gnasher" continues to be a spectator sport of high entertainment value. For years now, dozens of individuals have had their moment - "outed" as being behind that yellow Star of David with the black G.

It is, at times, amusing. But it's also really, really weird.

This small-scale, social media Rothschild / Rockefeller / Protocols-style conspiracy, fixated on pulling away the curtain to reveal this "all-seeing-eye" is as scary as it is comical. From University Professors to...

...Politicans to blog-dwelling, bog-dwelling fantasists, it's an obsessive conspiracy that has lived - rent free - in their brains for many waking hours (for some, years).

"Gnasher is on the Tory payroll". "They're Mossad". "They're funded by the Israeli Department of...

...Strategic Affairs." "They're British Secret Service".

The term "Gnasher" also evolved, becaming a term of abuse to some. It (like "Zionist") is twisted, on occasion, to mean Jew. "They're a Gnasher!" "Gnasher Trolls", "The Gnashers control..." "Fuck all Gnashers", as if a...

...single Twitter account held some hypnotic hold over the collective thoughts and output of others. The Golem. The Controller. The puller of strings. The Puppet Master. The hidden hand. The tentacles. It became another, watered-down, 260-character Protocols.

A CoNsPiRaCy!!...

So now the Gnasher account has decided to move on to pastures new. Is that the end, for the obsessives? Hell no. It's just opened up a new, exciting frontier, asking "bUt wHy DiD tHeY gO, eh!?!".

Once again, the suggestions and theories offered up are genius.

It "might" be Gnasher was just what they said. Jews, ex-Labour, experienced investigators, with a history of fighting racism. People not out to make friends, or appease the fragile egos of others. Single-minded, ruthless, with the absence of the "Give Two Fucks" chromosome...

But in a world where conspiracy theories and conniving, duplicitous (((shadows))) provide a much-needed comfort blanket to some, I guess that would be too easy to accept.

So if that's the case, just remember - Gnasher is probably still watching you.
