NIN REGISTRATION, N7000 ONLY!
Why do @NigeriaGov leave its public processes open to exploitation? The legitimate channels to enrol for NIN have been left in a way to frustrate free registration, and Lagosians are paying N7,000 to enrol for it in private homes; even on sallah day!
In Lagos, the passport offices still operate like Computer Village, at a time schools and worship centres are shut.
Why cant Nigerians apply for international passport from their homes through the Internet, then appear at the passport office for capture strictly on appointment?
Every info you'll need about UK you'll find on http://www.gov.uk  but its touts who will explain to graduates in Nigeria, the procedures for applying for drivers licence. Then, you will go and get collect form in a danfo with deflated tyres. Thats d customers service center.
Nigeria is a joke, but we're all part of the comedy, but lets pretend we aren't the ones buying NYSC posting. We navigate our ways through free public processes, offering money. Except for a minority, Nigerians who are unwilling to give a bribe are those who don't have the money.
The rush to get NIN have become intense amongst people applying for new passports or renewing old ones. A lady that works as an adhoc computer operator at one of the makeshift centers confided her immigration madam raked in over N1.5Million, the day before sallah public holiday.
Govt offices where documents are issued are business centers.
It is not enough to link BVN to everything. Until we replace all public service interface with self-service internet platforms, the Nigerian public & its public servants will remain in a reversible reaction of bribery.
