I don& #39;t identify with any party, I try to be a rational observer, and I give those I disagree with the benefit of the doubt. But supporting Trump in 2020 is strong evidence that you either haven& #39;t analyzed the situation honestly, or you don& #39;t have your priorities straight. 1/11
Donald Trump has clearly mishandled a public health crisis. America is worse off than any other country, while he& #39;s doubling down on misinformation and openly encouraging bad behavior. He& #39;s endangering the lives of Americans, especially those who put faith and trust in him. 2/11
Trump& #39;s inability to effectively respond to crisis has led to incredible economic failure. ~33% Quarterly GDP hit while the dollar gets debased by the fed. We could have leveraged good times into good savings, but he continued with endless deficit spending in 1st term. 3/11
Federal bills in response to the crisis are porkbarreled and don& #39;t address the issues of unemployment, housing, businesses, public health, etc. Blame being cast on states for mandates & former spending (to some extent fair) when the federal has done no better. 4/11
It& #39;s clear, even from the outside, that Trump& #39;s administration has been an unorganized, chaotic, revolving door from the start. Nobody can work with him, and it& #39;s a miracle people like Fauci are able to tolerate him. 5/11
Trump was doing well on foreign policy for a bit, but now he& #39;s aimlessly firing political potshots at allies and adversaries alike while trying to score points with a clueless and/or hawkish demographic. See recent military developments in Germany, or constant China-talk. 6/11
He has no clue when to lay off the "Law and Order" talk. He claims to want unity but wont stop short of addressing unrest with force. Protests would have died down entirely, as they were, if he didn& #39;t send in feds. Clear miscalculation. 7/11
The Tik Tok ban is the icing on the cake. Not only will it enrage under 30s, but it will get under the skin of anybody who understands the importance of having priorities. Not only is the timing egregious, but the action itself is questionable and unprincipled. 8/11
He cleary is losing support, and the middle, to this crisis. But it& #39;s mostly his own fault. Suggesting we delay the election reeks of desperation and I wouldn& #39;t be surprised if he lost in one of the biggest landslides in awhile. The parallels to Hoover are uncanny. 9/11
Trump is mostly fun and games. But the appeal of the gimmick wears off once shit hits the fan. This is the difference between Trump and Boris Johnson, who I like. See how Boris handled the exact same set of problems in the UK, from Covid to protests. He has an off button. 10/11
