@UAIS_Phoenix You know my time at IB was hard enough as one of 2 Black students in my class. I can only imagine the pain and stress this queen had to endure before the pandemic. I hope staff & admin. act intentionally to protect BIPOC from the bullshit

@BrianNBurak @wadobbie @zcrossen Making sure y’all see this. As history teachers y’all know how charged something like this is. This was not simple expression of self. This is enough to trigger and cause trauma for BIPOC students. I expected better from IB.

Again I would like to thank everyone for their continuous engagement with this post and the empowerment of the student voice whether current, alumni or otherwise. My goal was to reach administrators and get the student voice taken seriously. I have done that.

Conversations are being had, resources passed around and (hopefully) Queer and BIPOC narratives taken seriously. To current students I hope this has empowered you and your voice. You make the institution and so the power is yours.
