I understand the motive of those who seek to drag me with pictures of dilapidated infrastructure in Abia State. I am an official of the Abia State Government & I am visible here so I am the nail most of the hammers fall on. No quarrel. All frustrations are valid.
In my own little corner within the system, what I've tried to do is to create opportunities for the creatives who are trying to succeed in an imperfect environment. It is my belief that we can hold both positions. Condemnation of inadequate infrastructure & support for creatives.
So I hold no grudge against those who call me out for the decayed infrastructure in Abia State. I apologise that I cannot engage in that conversation while trying to promote Abia creatives as you rob them of their opportunity for bipartisan exposure.
I understand. The frustrations. I acknowledge them. I am in the system & I see the enormous work that needs to be done. But instead of despair, I choose to provide hope & support for those striving to excel in an imperfect environment. That is all I seek to do.
I understand that as the most visible official of the Abia State Government on these streets, I am the prime candidate for venting against the Abia State Government. Again, your disaffections are valid. There is a lot yet that needs to be done irrespective of what has been done.
So I will crave your indulgences to continue to use my TL to create visibly impactful exposure for the Abia Creative Community. That is the path I have chosen to toe & I am fulfilled by the increase in patronage to them each time I promote them. That is my mission.
Again, feel free to express your angst against the Abia State Government but forgive me if I don't engage you on that as experience has shown me that it usually ends in a rabbit hole cul-de-sac. The Abia State Govt is doing its best within its available resources.
On my part, I will remain focused on my mission. Showcasing Abia Creatives & driving new clients to them. That is far more beneficial than any exchange I engage in on Abia infrastructure.
