As @dynobase hit another milestone,
$10,000 per month in this case, I'm often asked:
When Dynobase will become my main & full-time job?
I think never. Why?

I think never. Why?

From the very beginning Dynobase was a result of "scratch your own itch" advice. A small and naive hobby side-project with no ambitions of competing with AWS which eventually turned out to be useful and quite profitable. That was a huge surprise for me.
Even though I always emphasised in discussions that Dynobase is just a complementary tool for NoSQL Workbench or AWS Console, you can't deny that in fact it is competition in some sense.
Competing with AWS in such setup is a short-term play.
Not only our growth is limited by the #DynamoDB popularity, but it's only a matter of time when DDB team will come up with better tools. After all, disruption here bases only on the UX improvements of their own DB.

"You can’t outrun them, outfight them, or outthink them. That’s your problem." as @QuinnyPig wrote once.
There's also the "work enjoyment" factor.
Dynobase is 90% React, 5% Electron, 5% bunch of DDB SDK calls. And here's a problem - I *don't* like frontend development. I absolutely love doing cloud & serverless, focusing on Dynobase won't allow me doing that.

Moreover, it's mostly alone job. Many stories selling you the dream of "passive-income bootstrapped startup" focus on just one thing - money. All the other aspects are completely neglected.
That's were Stedi comes to play. It's not only a long-term bet, but also a chance to work with talented team on tech I like and learn every day. Even though it's a "regular job", I enjoy it.
