The aesthetics are better than what the advert showed, but still, the Wakandafication of African cultures is not okay. That critique has nothing to do with B& #39;s artistry but butchering of our continent& #39;s diversity. A person can be a great singer and still make a mistake.
I really suggest many of you read books on intersectionality and read them properly. Then reflect. There are so many layers to power. A white saviour is not the only saviour we should be careful of. Capitalist/rich saviours and hegemonic saviours are also a problem.
A person can have marginalized identities & still use their privileged identities to inflict power over others instead of elevating them. You understand this with White women & Black men, but you seem to not understand this with rich Black women who specifically live in the West.
