I used to work in nando's, should I do a thread baiting out all the secrets 🥺🤔
1. Literally everything apart from the chips, and chicken is microwaved. Like the rice, corn, mash, sweet potato, etc. All slapped in the microwave. But they grill the corn after so it tastes smokey
2. If you're getting anything vegetarian, the amount of time staff mix utensils is nuts. The only way to truly stop cross contamination in nando's is to call it an allergy order. So literally just mention the word allergy, and they fully clean everything.
2.5. like even if you order a veggie wrap, or something like that. It's going on the flat grill where meat is literally cooked. When it's quiet we used to separate everything, but it goes out the window on a busy day 🤧
3. This one shocked me when I was a griller. Extra hot sauce and Hot sauce is the exact same thing 😭😭 extra hot sauce is literally putting hot sauce on both sides of the chicken. Also when you order, ask to have sauce in both sides of the chicken
4. There is a hack to getting a wrap, kids meal, and a quarter chicken for under a tenner, but I can't even disclose that 🙃
5. The bread they use for burgers are made fresh everyday from frozen, but the bread for the garlic bread is from the day before, or earlier in the day. That's why it always tastes tougher than the burgers 🤧🤧
May as well follow me on Instagram, I do photography, videography, among other media stuff
