With regard to the timetable of this challenge, it seems something positive did come out of the #FairCopJR in that the rules were changed to allow me the opportunity to make representations to the Police and Crime Commissioner.

See further https://policeconduct.gov.uk/sites/default/files/Documents/statutoryguidance/2020_statutory_guidance_english.pdf
So the timetable looks like this:
Complaint to the Information Management Team - refused.
Representations about refusal - ongoing.

When they refuse to delete I will then repeat this process with the Complaints and Misconduct Team.
The significance of this will be that it is then a formal complaint recorded under Schedule 3 of the Police Reform Act 2002 and refusal of my request to delete will give me the right to an independent review by the PCC.

It is difficult to be clear about timescales, but I will be asking for expedition. I should be in a position to make representations to the PCC in the autumn. If my request for deletion is then refused I will issue an application in judicial review and I will ask for your help.
watch this space. If I 'disappear' from Twitter, you can find me @spinster_xyz @MumsnetTowers @thegencrit and @WeAreFairCop

I strongly advise that anyone who publishes on line in their own name in this debate, make their own SAR of their local force. https://ico.org.uk/your-data-matters/your-right-to-get-copies-of-your-data/
It may make sense for us to join together in some kind of class action if we cannot be joined or intervene in the #FairCopJR.

I think what is happening is very wrong and we need to do something about it.
And very grateful thanks to the person who I assume will wish to remain nameless for guiding me through the labyrinth of the police complaints process and making me aware of the new appeal route.

But it shouldn't have to be this hard.
I will now know the identity of one complaint. An aspiring politician no less. Who is clearly ignorant of Article 10 ECHR - or worse, doesn’t care.
I think I counted only one response vaguely in favour of Mr Tench. There was an outpouring of ridicule from men and women.
On one level it was funny. And I laughed probably more last night than I have in a long while.

Ridicule is important. It’s one of the reasons Orwell gave for why fascism wouldnt take root in England - we would laugh at it.
But on another level it’s not funny. Did Orwell anticipate men like Tench would have the police in his pocket?

The police will record his complaint. They have to. It is mandatory under their guidance. They do not have to tell me - I will have no right to know no right of reply.
Note to police and all who will be complaining about me. I am not going to stop. You will need to arrest me and seize my devices and I am urging you to do so.

My tweets are calm, factual and protected political speech.

People need to see where this road takes us.
UPDATE. Wiltshire are refusing to delete. They claim ‘no choice’ but to record.

I have provided clear evidence of malice but they hold me to an impossible standard to prove it.

I will therefore make one final request of this team to delete.
When that request is refused I will resubmit but this time as a formal complaint which can be reviewed by the PCC.

Everyone should be very worried about this. ‘Hate’ is defined as ‘ill will’ or ‘hostility’. The police will NOT challenge the good faith of the complainant.
