Hail! It's just a week til #BadlyBehavedWomen is published! So starting today I'm counting down by tweeting a new amazing, inspiring feminist featured in the book every day, until I run out. (Pictured: the book itself enjoying the weather by reclining on the hammock)
#BadlyBehavedWomen #1 is @HiboWardere, a hugely inspiring FGM survivor, activist & educator who works to end FGM by speaking out about her own experience, training educators & addressing policy makers. Hibo's personal essay in the book is a must-read.
#BadlyBehavedWomen #2 is @Anne_W_Strike. Anne is a Paralympic wheelchair racer & sporting ambassador who writes & speaks on inclusion, diversity & disability - which are also the focus of her important piece in the book.
Happy weekend! #BadlyBehavedWomen #3 is @HelenPankhurst. The great-granddaughter of Emmeline writes in the book about the marches she has led & her continuing feminist activism. All power to her!
#BadlyBehavedWomen #4 is the brilliant @DianaEvansOP. The prize winning author of Ordinary People has written a beautiful piece in the book on her personal relationship with feminism.
#BadlyBehavedWomen #5 is @rosiewolfenden! As one half of @tattydevine, Rosie has written a piece in the book about suffragette inspired feminist jewellery & how important the woman's movement is to her brand.
#BadlyBehavedWomen #6 is the fearless @nadiaghulam. Nadia disguised herself as a boy so she could go to school in Taliban controlled Afghanistan - then changed her life through sheer determination. Her account in the book is truly inspirational.
