Also gay men saying “eww women gross icky nasty” is very different from lesbians saying the same about men because so much of it can be so deeply rooted in misogyny and just hate while lesbians is pretty much a response to being expected to be attracted to their oppressors

Gay men r not oppressed by women unless the woman is homophobic or transphobic. But that kind of oppression would translate to “I hate straights” or “I hate cissies” jokes. Lesbians are ALWAYS oppressed by men bc we are women and nonbinary people

Men r always the number one oppressors basically (right behind the power of white privilege of course) so their hate for women and non-men in general allows for us to mock or joke abt them. But men can’t do that to women or nonbinary ppl, they r NOT oppressed by us

Obviously gay men can feel pressured to be attracted to women, but even then the dynamics surrounding their privilege as men would never rlly allow for joking abt or mocking women, bc u can often find out that it’s thinly veiled misogyny disguised as “gay pride”
