What having ADHD is actually like; an educational thread:
Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria

Extreme emotional sensitivity and pain triggered by the perception that a person has been rejected or criticized by important people in their life. May also be triggered by a sense of failing to meet their own high standards or others' expectation.
Hyperfixation

Being completely immersed in something, such as a book series, video game or tv show. Sometimes it goes as far as it’s the only thing you think about or want to talk about. An umbrella term to describe special interests, and hyperfocuses.
Fidgeting

Most people know about fidgeting when it comes to ADHD but most of the time people tend not to realize that it happens subconsciously and sometimes we don’t even realize we’re doing it. May involve playing with one's fingers, hair, or personal objects.
Stimming

Stimming is usually associated with people on the autism spectrum but you don’t have to have autism to stim. Some people who have ADHD partake in stimmming. The word “stimming” refers to self-stimulating behaviors, usually involving repetitive movements or sounds.
Executive Dysfunction

Individuals with executive dysfunction struggle with planning, problem-solving, organization, and time management.
Memory Loss

Sometimes it’s studying for a test all night and just not being able to recall any of the information. Other times it’s placing your phone down and not being able to remember where it is a minute or so later.
Getting Upset Easily

People with ADHD may get upset easily and it doesn’t seem like there’s much of a reason to be upset. People with ADHD have ADHD mood swings, they're deeply passionate, and have strong emotional reactions that can change their mood dramatically.
Sensory Overload

Senory Overload is another symptom that is commonly associated with people on the autism spectrum but ADHD people can suffer from it too. DescriptionSensory overload occurs when one or more of the body's senses experiences over-stimulation from the environment.
Adhd is more than just “crackhead energy” and getting distracted easily. Also different people may experience different symptoms, not everyone is the same!!
