This is how this is going to play out:

-Trump says mail-in ballots are bad
-Democrats are reflexively for anything Trump is against
-Same party is ALREADY disproportionately terrified to leave their house anway
-Democratic votes will be way undercounted
-Trump wins

The same people who are pushing hard for this now will complain about the system being rigged in Trump's favor, and they won't even be wrong. But it was from their own doing.

I can see no other way this will play out because the year is 2020.
