A year ago, museums had a work life balance problem. We constantly worked long hours to come home and keep brainstorming and do professional development classes and keep thinking if we get another degree that will be enough. 1/
After everything thats happened, that problem has grown so much because anyone who still has a job knows that they could be the next one cut and now has to do even more than ever before. Yeah, I can do marketing and grants and teach and run the front desk all at the same time! 2/
And we can't admit we're exhausted or be cut. Its like being on one of those ridiculous TV shows where they kick someone out every week except it isn't 10 weeks, its unending and the prize is not having to move back in with your parents at 30 years old. 3/
It feels like if we just work harder and sell more tickets and get more likes and followers we will make it through but in reality, there's no way we can ever single handedly do enough to save a dieing industry. 4/4
