Personal Branding 101

Took a mini course on personal branding

I learned a lot from it

"Everyone has a personal brand online. We just are not aware of it yet."

Here is the summary

"Personal Branding" - A thread 👇
1.
Introduction:

Being aware of your perception that others have of you based on your online presence.

And Controlling the perception that others have of you.
2.
Industry:

Develop your perception of people in line with the industry you choose. 3 main ones are
-Wealth
-Health
-Relationships

Next step is to niche it down to specific one

Remember,

"The riches are in the niches"
3.
Target audience:

Your personal brand or the perception that you are developing need to speak to a specific AUDIENCE.

When you speak to everyone, you speak to no-one
4.
Content Creation

On social media you need to create the content/value that controls the perception that you want them to have.

Personal brand involves creating quality content in a specific niche to a target audience

This places you as authority
5.
Values

Your unspoken & spoken values should be similar to your target audience's

Resonance is powerful here

Ex: If you say you are a health & wellness expert. And you are overweight.
My perception is that you probably don't value health & wellness
6.
Distribute your content

Post your content that is
-solving a problem
-providing value

It should not be just informative which I can look it up in the internet

It should be insightful, short, actionable and gets the result
7.
Monetize

Finally make people climb up the value ladder

-Free Ungated content: All the content on social media

-Free Gated content: Email list, newsletter subscribers

-Low ticket product: Paying customer

-High ticket product: Paying customer
8.
Scaling

Once you have created the brand, you will want to scale it

-Setting a S.M.A.R.T goal
(Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Reason, Time bound)

-Build systems to automate process.

-Delegate and outsource
You shouldn't be a jack of all trades and master of none
