A Travel THREAD for my Twitter Friends. We’re on a crosscountry RV trek to get out amongst people & see how things REALLY are. Tonight we’re staying in a TN State Park. It’s full, no masks, no fear, natural social distancing. Will continue posting on this thread as we travel.

We noticed some Trump signs, billboards and bumper stickers as we traveled thru TN but not as many as I would have hoped. Maybe it’s early yet. Hoping to see more as we go West.

The only time we saw masks today was checking into the campground. Sign on door said Masks required & Ranger wore one so I went and got mine and used it because I don’t want to make their job harder than it already is. Go with the flow, right? Until I run into a KAREN!

We stayed in the TN State Park another day because it’s pretty awesome. Big storms today but evening visitors and beautiful sunset soothed our tortured souls. No COVID worries here.

We stopped in Mt. Juliet, TN and said a prayer for our fellow Patriot @CharlieDaniels. I felt his spirit while standing by his Grave. We also visited #CharlieDanielsPark. There is great respect for Charlie in his adopted hometown.

Great news! We were able to get RV Park reservations for the week of August 9th near Mt. Rushmore so we’ll get to tweet about how wonderful South Dakota is these days! Can’t wait! @govkristinoem

We traveled out of the South into the Democrat State of Illinois. So far we’ve survived, though gas prices are HIGH. No real difference in Mask requirements but Bathhouse & Pool at RVPark is off limits due to State Regs. Onward to the West & FREEDOM.

As we were leaving Kentucky, we saw this. B L M must not have made it here yet.

Today we traveled through some awful storms. This is all we saw of St. Louis. No human contact. Drove straight on through to Iowa.

Barney got to do some sightseeing on the Mississippi River and we saw the biggest lock on the river in action. So nice to be in Middle America. Saw very few masks. Thinks seemed *gasp* NORMAL in Iowa. Don’t tell the Dems.

I’m so glad I’m traveling and not keeping up with all the bull thats going on here on Twitter. Its insane. I’ll be posting some pics from today's adventures in awhile.

Today we went back across the MS river to Illinois & visited Nauvoo, an Historical Mormon settlement. Very interesting. Google it. It’s tiny, with many old homes and a HUGE Tabernacle. Pretty much shut down because COVID but still a great place to visit. No masks required.

We came back to Keokuk, Iowa and got to see the largest Lock on the MS River in action. Huge number of barges moving through. Also saw evidence of TRUMP Country!

Staying 2 days at Pikes Peak State Park in NE Iowa at confluence of MS & WI Rivers. Very beautiful flyover country. No masks anywhere here. Fresh air and nature, perfect anecdote to the China Virus. Pics: Barney&Dad+River

Tomorrow we head West to Decorah to see the nesting area of the famous Decorah http://Explore.org  Eagles.
