Starting progress pic thread for my #DnDFitness journey to #NYResolution2021. Started last week after my post on Dadbod and Male Body Dysmorphia. So here is where we will start. 1 pic is best condition and slide into current. 2nd pic is goal.
Here is the #week1 check in. As much as we all wish we could have a Super Soilder transformation, thatâs just not how it works. Early progress is mental, knowing you did more activity & ate less junk - while no real physical changes yet, it is all part of the process #DnDFitness
Accountability post for my #DnDFitness comeback for #NYResolution2021. Here is end of #week2. Feel good about the effort I put in this week. Not expecting visual changes until end of August, but I can feel changes starting to happen.
Just a quick reminder make sure if you are comparing pics to take them at the same time under the same conditions, as the body changes quite significantly through even a single day. These pics are 12 hours apart.
Last Night. This Morning

For conditions that are going to be most easily to replicate week to week, A picture taken immediately upon waking will be easiest. In general it is because consistant hydration level and an empty stomach.
I believe I will start posting both a Mon PM and Tues AM each week now.

Back to reality from all the fantasy faces and sons. Monday midday progress pic time for #DnDFitness #NYResolution2021. It is End of #Week3 and Iâm hitting Nat groove with walks, workouts, and jumping rope. Here are the pics 1/2 way to first real check point at Labor Day.
As promised here is #Week3 wake up pics compared to last week morning pic. This really accentuates just how much even a little âprepâ can affect photos. Had a protein shake for dinner and Only drank water after 7 PM. Lighting is your friend always!
Almost forgot to take #Week4 progress picture. Here it is! Still a couple more weeks until changes really start appearing. I did go ahead and trim down my body hair as that is my normal state & as I got out of shape I stopped doing it. So here it is. #DnDFitness
And last Tuesday wake up pic to this Tuesday. So this is a great time to discuss how progress isnât always a straight line. Week 4 was a backwards step, but it is also a reminder that I have to keep the fire burning bright to keep moving forward. All part of the process.
Ok here is #Week5 still moving forward and feeling good about my workouts. Could have pushed in some more cardio but with some other commitments this week did what I could to keep forward momentum. #DnDFitness
And here is the Tuesday AM to Tuesday AM shot for week 5. Remember these shots arenât about progress as much as showing how the photos you see online can be staged and not represent reality. Learn to recognize the illusion.
Welp #Week6 was an unmitigated disaster only 2/5 workouts and 0/4 walks. Also extra beers, a late night family size bag of pretzels, cookie dough and Ben & Jerryâs.
Still I forgive myself. Unprecedented week we had and I did what I could when I could. Here are the pics.

Bonus unexpected feel good pic. Forgot to set timer, totally unaware and hey I have an ab showing!!! #CelebrateTheWin no matter how small.

Been a bit of a pause as I am getting Lunar settled in but didnât want to desert this thread because âlife stuff happensâ & you donât make progress. I kept an eye on my diet even though workouts werenât as regular and tried not to backslide. Here are the pics. #DnDFitness #Week8
Ok here is #week9 still mainly diet control and did get in 3 workouts between Lunar stuff. She still isnât quite ready for a long walk to the park yet, and now we are concentrating on her feeling comfortable again after the blimp incident. Anyway here is the pic. #DnDFitness
Remember how we talked about how a pump, water retention, angle , and light changes your physique picture dramatically. This is 4 hours later after a workout and being out on a windy day (drys out your fluid retention) flexing and leaning in... learn to recognize the illusion.
Welp here we are at #Week10 slow and steady is the mantra. Got 4 workouts in, still hoping Lunar will want to go on long walks soon, but until then been keeping a strict diet. #DnDFitness
