Chances are some National Guard troops fought with ZTI/Blackwater/Academi overseas or trained with them here but that just means their reputation for committing war crimes that then get blamed on US regulars and National Guard has preceded them
If it came down to a choice about who National Guard units would side with in a fight and the choices were "mercenaries who scapegoated us for murdering civilians in the Middle East" vs "my own neighbors" then it had really better not be a choice at all
Also deploying cops against ZTI is a surefire way to have them reinforce each other more than they already are
