So, I want to address my choice of BEASTARS for best continuing series for kids/teens as part of @debaoki's Best/Worst manga panel. I struggled with how to categorize this for a while, but the official rating on it is older teen.

I know it's violent and complicated and has sexual content. But so do a lot of young adult books, and I think BEASTARS falls into that category. I don't recommend it for anyone under 16, for sure. Lumping kids and teens together is tough - a large age range.

Anyway, if you actually watch the video of the panel I say that it's for older teens, but the tweets out of context make it seem like I'm recommending it for a far younger audience than I intend to. Hope that clears things up! Go read BEASTARS!
