THIS! âWhen Trump thinks about #ClimateChange, the only word he can muster is âhoax.â When I think about climate change, the word I think of is âjobs.ââ â @JoeBiden. YES, govt. stimulus funds are a chance to invest in, as @sunrisemvmt puts it, #GreenJobs and a livable future.
Rhetoric aside, @JoeBiden's plan pledges to eliminate carbon pollution from power plants by 2035 â his previous goal was 2050!! "The ratcheted-up targets came after Biden faced pressure from young left-leaning activists and major environmental groups."

Room for improvement, but LOTS to be excited about. Thrilled to see @JoeBiden committing to:
+ Sparking the 2nd railroad revolution
+ Creating 1 million jobs upgrading 4 million buildings and weatherizing 2 million homes over 4 years.
+ Creating an ARPA-C for climate research

But perhaps the BIGGEST DEAL is @JoeBiden committing to:
+ Investing in diverse farmers to make the ag sector stronger!
+ Supporting conservation and resilience by creating a Civilian Climate Corps!
+ Ensuring disadvantaged communities receive 40% of overall benefits of spending!

I mean, look at these SHOUTOUTS to coastal ecosystems!!! Wetlands and mangroves and kelp forests and oyster reefs and seagrasses that protect us from storms and absorb tons of carbon.

It's a huge relief to see the @JoeBiden campaign taking #EnvironmentalJustice seriously. Beyond committing that 40% of climate/energy funds would support disadvantaged communities, they're committing to create an "Environmental and Climate Justice Division" w/in the Justice Dept.
Thank you @JoeBiden for listening to experts and seriously upgrading your climate plan. If you get what's at stake with the #ClimateCrisis, it is unconscionable to sit this election out. 100 days left, ya'll.
