The birth of operation The Spring of Youth happened in accordance with Israel's Secret War on Terrorism whose main aim was to uproot an infamous terrorist organisation named "Black September"..

In September 1970 in the Kingdom of Jordan the King had killed thousands of militants of PLO, after which the chief of PLO Yasir Arafat founded an organisation named "Black September."
In the start they targetted only Jordanian leaders and high ranking people...

Later "Black September" started their attacks on Israel and mostly targetted the civilian population of Israel.
In May 1972 it hijacked a flight named Sabena 571 in which 3 civilians died and after some months in September they killed 11 Israeli athletes in Munich Olympics.

After the massacre of Munich the then PM Golda Meir ordered the execution of the terrorists hiding in different parts of Europe.
So an operational team was made to uproot "Black September".
MOSSAD in many daring operations targetted and killed these terrorists in Europe..

But MOSSAD and Israel Defence Forces felt this just wasn't enough but the need is to enter Beirut the fortress of " Black September " and to eliminate it's leadership..
By 1970 Beirut had become a safe sanctuary for many terrorist organisations..

The leaders operated from Beirut and were carrying attacks on Israel.
Bt now was the time to show Israel's retaliation..
The objective of operation Spring of Youth was to eliminate 3 high value targets of PLO & Black September..

All the 3 used to live in Beirut in lavish apartments in the same building..

First an all out military operation was planned to execute these 3 terrorists in which an elite group of army was to attack this building and execute these terrorists.
But MOSSAD agent Ehud Barak got this operation cancelled as the surprise element would be lost..

On 5th April 1973 Israeli Navy's ships and fast patrol boats leave with Sayeret Matkal ( Elite Wing ) on-board..
They are shown all kinds of latest photos of the locations and terrorists..
3 terrorists were codenamed.
1. Xila
2. Varda
3. Judith

Led by Ehud Barak these 3 teams for 3 terrorists reach Beirut by Midnight.
Ehud Barak & Aviram Levine were gonna wait outside the building in the guise of women.
Team 1 : Abu Yusuf
Team 2 : Kamaal Adwan

They had intel of security guards outside bldg.

Ehud Barak & Aviram Levine start fighting with the security guard in the car in a fierce gunfight.
The bullet hits the horn of the car which keeps honking & Sayeret Matkal lose their surprise element..
Team 1 blow the door of Abu Yusuf with an explosive charge.

Team finds the 16yr old son of Abu Yusuf who freezes in shock and doesn't talk.
Team checks the bedroom whr they find 4 more kids of Yusuf.
During this time the door of bedroom 3 opens and a Pyjama clad man emerges..
Yusuf's wife who was on bed tries handing Yusuf a handgun.

But the commandos open fire by then killing Yusuf n his wife on the spot.
The mastermind of Munich attack is dead on the ground.
Now Team 2 breaks the door of Kamaal Adwan & to their surprise see him with an AK47.
Kamaal thinks for a while and then open fires to hide.

By then a commando enters through the window climbing a pipe, distracted Adwan is mutilated by the bullets.
During the same time Team 3 breaks the door of Kamaal Naseer and find there are 2 women on the bed bt Naseer is missing..

On checking the house commandos find Naseer hiding under the sink like a coward who is neutralised on the spot..
By this time a full blown fight also ensues on the road outside.
Ehud Barak sees an incoming police van on which they open fire killing all the occupants..

The returning Commandos find a second incoming police vehicle on which they open fire intensely..
But as soon as they neutralise the 2nd vehicle and are about to enter their transport vehicle they find a 3rd incoming police van.

A grenade is launched at this Police Van which hits it and turns it into a fireball..
The commandos get in their respective vehicles and leave for the landing beach from where they disappear in speed boats in the dark night never to be found..

The Operation lasted for less than 30 mins even less than the time I needed to write this thread...

Ehud Barak later became the PM of Israel...
