There are two Artists in this fandom who have a big following and are really popular for their artwork, however their art is not completely original as much of their fan art is traced from the reference photo.

Their names are @/youremyfanart and @/oui_luv
Before I show the evidence please know that I am not shaming tracing as it is a way to practice, but to claim your traced work as original is a form of plagiarism and both artists have done this

The videos below provide more info:

Video 1:
Video 2: this one provides ways of how tracing can be ethical as long as you DON'T claim the work as your own.
Now how is it possible to know these Artists are tracing? By overlapping the original photo over their art to see where areas are too closely matching in alignment

We'll start with @/youremyfanart
As you can see, they mainly traced the face and though they add their own drawing elements to their work, it still doesn't make it okay to claim a trace as original. It would be best to state it in post whether you traced or not. @/youremyfanart does make original art but+
+should acknowledge and let it be known when something is traced.

Now on to @/oui_luv
It's the same scenario except there's very little originality added to the tracing and often their art looks to be more like photo editing rather than an actual drawing. I recommend they let it be known, too, if the drawing is traced or is and edited photo.

For the record; this thread is not meant to bash or send hate to these two, this thread is meant to ask for honesty and transparency, if you still like and want to support the artists, that's fine. But please help them understand that there's nothing wrong with admitting+
+when your work is traced, it doesn't make you a bad artist to trace, as many of us have done it, a bad artist is an artist who plagiarizes
