I never really addressed the Go Raiders video but I’d like to in a thread

People forget man. That season just started off foul. We weren’t used to losing games, especially at home. Sheesh. All on us Seniors. Most of us could’ve left early but we cane back for this? Our mindset.....Na we gotta finish strong

Lost to teams with great records. Just didn’t play our type of football. Especially Texas game, those clowns were great that year at what they did. We finally started coming together as an Offense later in season. Ya boy even started getting the ball more ayyy

Had a huge game vs Baylor/Homecoming...seniors started believing we could turn it around. We started hearing about possible bowl matchups...Heard if we finish out undefeated we would go to Dallas to play Bama.

Most of our senior had lost 5 games the first 3 years. Out of like 36 lol. To lose 3 in this season we felt like the only way to prove ourselves was run the table. That damn Lubbock

Hop of the plane to the dustnados. Hop on bus, head out there and stayed at the pink hacienda lookin hotel that barely fit our team. All that wind & dirt had me feelin yuck the next morning.

I didn’t eat much cause not feelin well & the food in Lubbock/Stilly hotel was nastyyyyyy! So we gead to Stadium. Of course their fans are rockin early, just cause it’s us.

Reminder: if the standings/rules were same as current, this game of ours would’ve been for 2nd spot in Big12 title game. After those calls at the end, could u imagine?

That loss hurt. Really was the first time I felt refs weren’t fair during a game. Like on live tv tho that loss was deflating in the locker room after. No disrespect to Ruff/Linc/Leach but losing to Tech????????

Bob was brief in Locker room, but u could tell it hurt him too. We were on such a good run & developing, heck of a comeback in hostile environment, then just taken away. He didn’t want us to say much to media, but I felt like I had to say something. Just had to.

I get outside...few people stopped me in the walkway, and man. Fam, I’ve never heard somebody so loud. The louder he got, the deeper and more violent my thoughts got lol

Obviously the interview went horrid. I’m thinking they will never show that stuff on tv.

We get back to norman on Sat, rest Sunday, then get to meetings on Monday.....I get to Sumlin meeting room and Cale walks in laughing and says “hey JD somebody sent me a video on college humor (.com) of that interview u did”

From there, it’s just been awful. U have no idea how many times people ask “are u the guy from the Go Raiders video”. Or they just start yelling it like a tribal song.

All I can say is bro got lucky lol lucky I was hurt from the game and/or there wasn’t a clear path up there

What a scene. just had to be captured on video. Ah well, proud of our guys bouncing back. Felt bad we weren’t able to give the team an extra trip back home for most to Texas, but San Diego was really fun. Proud of Bob for keeping us together too cause it could’ve easily went bad
