I *could* have putted it but that’s a play generally reserved for amateurs. That left me with only two plays: The pitch into the hillside to deaden it....or hit my 76 degree wedge and swing full. (2/6)

My hands are plenty soft enough to hit the pitch into the FF, but what you can’t see in the pic is that @MiguelVegaTurf has lost that entire dark brown area to a ground hornet infestation. Making the root system weak. Any ball impacting that area would most likely plug. (3/6)

I had no choice. I needed to come in high. I stepped it off at 14 yards. Knowing I hit my 76 degree 18 yards (full), I choked down a 1/2” and swung normally. (4/6)

Due to the tight lie and the people on the clubhouse patio watching, I caught it a little thin and hit a screaming line drive in to this tree top area. (5/6)

I tapped the turf with my wedge for a good 90 seconds so everyone watching would know it wasn’t my fault. Then I took a drop, 2 putted for 6, shot 41, and posted 44. (End)
