Parenting with a special needs kid.

Took the boy to the playground at Lansdowne. He had the best time, laughing, running, flapping and best of all social distancing. When another little girl came up to him, he's back away.

BUT...
The boy is "extra" - he runs, he hums, he flaps, he laughs. He's unpredictable. He'll run in one direction, stop on a dime, then do something else.

This upset the 4 year old girl, who looked at her Mom and said in her best 4 year old voice "I don't want HIM here."
The girl's Mom just looked at me, wearily. So I said, "hey, buddy, I want to show you some equipment over here." We left.

I don't blame the Mom (or the girl, obv.) - they just want to have a fun morning.

But it was a reminder that the world's a big club, and the boy ain't in it
He got to play in the fountain, though, so he's happy as can be. Which is the important thing.
