

King John had two hunting lodges in the ancient Park of #Toxteth. The higher hunting site, 'Park Lodge' is believed to contain some of the original features & gave its name to Lodge Lane, #Liverpool.

(2/6) In the window pic, the space between the wall and the roof is a feature from the Norman period apparently, when the roof was flat.
(4/6) The thickness of the archway is a clue to the age of the house. This was the location of the original front door. The house has been extended 3 times.
