'A movement that does not understand that “[a] dominated country, or a previously dominated one that does not alter its situation in the international capitalist division of labor, merely reproduces its unfavourable situation: the more it increases..."
"...the production of the products that its “place” assigns it, the more does it participate in the worsening of its own unfavourable situation” is bound to fail because it will not succeed in achieving its central task: improving the lives of the people who live there.'
Important consideration for Welsh Indy movement. If I've understood correctly, I'll put it in the context of farming. If farmers are to continue producing commodity crops for monopolists then being independent will make little difference.

The same people will benefit, the same people will lose. The opportunity of independence is to step outside of the current economic system, and to stop producing a profit for the monopolists but a chance as farmers, to produce instead for the community.

Or to put another way:
Remaining commodity producers of lamb and dairy for the European market, as a result of being bribed through CAP, isn't bettering the Welsh countryside but serves the purpose of European neoliberalism. Is it enriching our farms and rural communities to produce 'cheap' meat/dairy?
Whilst the majority of the money is kept by retailers who 'invest' their profits in their shareholders and executives? Long term it is impoverishing the Welsh countryside, forcing more debt, and driving away future farmers as they leave to seek better employment in cities.
The alternative is to produce food for our communities, which will necessitate a level of re-ordering of Welsh farming, away from producing for commodity markets, and instead producing a wider variety and proportion of the Welsh diet.

Just thinking aloud.
